The large stone grave Holm was a megalithic grave system of the Neolithic funnel cup culture near Holm , a district of Dassow in the district of Northwest Mecklenburg ( Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania ). It was first mentioned in 1837. Robert Beltz mentioned it as existing in 1899, so it doesn't seem to have been removed until the early 20th century.

location

The grave was a few hundred meters south of Holm in the Holmer Forest. It was about 10 minutes away from the Flechtkrug inn in the forest. About 800 m to the west was the Prieschendorf large stone grave , which was destroyed in 1837 .

description

The grave was built on a natural hill. The dimensions, orientation and type of the burial chamber are not recorded. The interior of the burial chamber was already deepened by 1837, which indicates a possible earlier ransacking.
