Sprockhoff no. 369

The large stone grave Langen Trechow is a megalithic grave complex of the Neolithic funnel cup culture near Langen Trechow , a district of Bernitt in the Rostock district ( Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania ). It bears the Sprockhoff number 369.

location

The grave is located about 1.5 km north-northwest of Langen Trechow, just before the municipal boundary in a field.

description

The heavily destroyed complex has a north-east-south-west oriented mound bed with a width of 8 m and according to a report from 1849 a length of 48 paces (approx. 36 m). In 1933 Sprockhoff was only able to identify four of the surrounding stones on the north-western and one on the south-eastern long side in situ . In the southern part of the megalithic bed there are two large stones, which are probably cap stones of the previously unlocated burial chamber .
