description

The grave is located 150 m west of the Siegumlund settlement near Siegum. It is a heavily destroyed, east-west oriented megalithic bed . Most of the surrounding stones are missing, only two on the east side and some on the west side have been preserved. However, since the removal of the remaining stones left a clear pit, the dimensions of the giant bed can still be determined. It was therefore 32 m long and 5 m wide. The burial chamber formed a longitudinal dolmen . Only one damaged stone remains from this today. Here, too, the clearing out of the chamber left a clear pit. The remaining stone can thus be identified as the northern support stone of the western longitudinal wall. The length of the chamber was about 2.00 m and its width was 1.50 m. Ernst Sprockhoff lists the grave under number 22 in his Atlas of Megalithic Tombs.
