The large stone grave Steenbarg was a megalithic grave complex of the Neolithic funnel cup culture near Dötlingen in the district of Oldenburg ( Lower Saxony ).

location

The grave was in the northern center of Dötlingen on Neerstedter Straße by the former Schwarting farm. There are several other large stone graves in the vicinity: 300 m to the north-west is the large stone grave Dötlingen (also known as the "large stone grave at the shooting range"), 900 m southwest are the four large stone graves known as Glaner Braut , 1.9 km to the east is the large stone grave of the court and 2.7 km northwest of the Egyptian megalithic tomb . 1 km to the southeast was the large stone grave Badberger Sand , which was largely destroyed in the 1930s and completely removed in the 1960s .

description

Around 1819, the complex still had at least four wall stones and two cap stones. In 1896 there was only one stone left. This stone should still exist today. It is located on private property and is partially overgrown by an oak . No further information is available about the orientation, the original dimensions and the type of grave of the facility.
