The large stone grave place of justice is a megalithic complex from the Neolithic Age in the municipality of Dötlingen in the Oldenburg district in Lower Saxony . It originated between 3500 and 2800 BC. BC and is a passage grave of the funnel cup culture . Neolithic monuments are an expression of the culture and ideology of Neolithic societies. Their origin and function are considered to be the hallmarks of social development. The passage grave is a form of Neolithic megalithic systems, which consists of a chamber and a structurally separated, lateral passage. This form is primarily found in Denmark, Germany and Scandinavia, as well as occasionally in France and the Netherlands.

The large stone grave is located on the “Zum Sande” road in the Aschenstedt district of Dötlingen , 2 kilometers east of the center of Dötlingen, 1.5 kilometers northeast of the Hunte .

The stone chamber, oriented in a north-south direction, has an area of ​​around 4.0 × 1.5 meters. Five bearing stones , one end stone and one cap stone next to the corridor have been preserved. The megalithic grave got its name because it was here in the 18th century that a court of minor, local offenses was held: the owners of the nearby Aschenbeck farm held a wooden court over forest violators between at least 1742 and 1812 .

In the area of ​​the Wildeshauser Geest Nature Park and its immediate surroundings there are another 36 facilities of a similar type.
