The Reckumer stones are two Neolithic large stone graves of the type passage grave or Emsland chamber , with the Sprockhoff no. 811 and 812. They originated between 3500 and 2800 BC. And are megalithic systems of the funnel beaker culture (TBK). Neolithic monuments are an expression of the culture and ideology of Neolithic societies. Their origin and function are considered to be the hallmarks of social development.

The Reckumer Steine ​​are located in the Reckum district of the Winkelsett community in the Lower Saxon community of Harpstedt in the Oldenburg district .

Sprockhoff no. 811

Sprockhoff no. 811 is on a field east of Katenbäker Straße approx. 100 m north of the intersection at which the road to Rekum branches off. In the 14 meter long chamber, seven of the nine capstones, almost all (19) bearing stones (two of which are split) and remains of the entrance are still preserved. Sprockhoff no. 812

Sprockhoff no. 812 (also known as the sacrificial altar) is located under trees to the west of Katenbäker Straße, right at the intersection where the road to Rekum branches off. The chamber (Sprockhoff No. 812), which is disturbed in the access area on the south side, is 19 m long. It had 11 cover stones and 28 bearing stones, almost all of which have been preserved. In an investigation around 1920, an approximately 26 × 4 m border made of smaller boulders was mentioned. As early as 1929 there were no more stones left by her. 52 ° 52 '9.4 "  N , 8 ° 28' 56.3"  E
