Gromada Ożarowice

Gromada Ożarowice was an administrative unit in the People's Republic of Poland between 1954 and 1972. The Gromada was administered by the Gromadzka Rada Narodowa , whose seat was in Ożarowice and consisted of 17 members.
The Gromada Ożarowice belonged to the powiat Będziński in the Katowice Voivodeship ( then Stalinogród ) and consisted of two Sołectwa , Ożarowice and Pyrzowice . On January 1, 1957, the Gromada became part of the Powiat Tarnogórski . Thus the historical Upper Silesian - Lesser Poland border was administratively blurred. On January 1, 1970, the village of Zendek became part of Gromada Ożarowice.
With the municipal reform of 1972, the Gromada was dissolved on January 1, 1973 and the place Ożarowice came to Gmina Tąpkowice .
