The Alemannia mine is a former iron mine in the Bensberg ore district in Bergisch Gladbach . The site belongs to the Refrath district . On the basis of a request for encouragement from March 22, 1856, a certificate of award was issued to Eisenstein for the Alemannia mine on November 12, 1856 . The Alemannia mine was located between Penningsfeld and Niedenhof in the western part of Refrath. The deposit was named "on the Kamp near Brück in the Mülheim district". According to today's understanding, this was in the area of Immanuel-Kant-Strasse / Adalbert-Stifter-Strasse. All traces were erased by the buildings. Nothing further is known about the operating activities.
