The Felix mine was a non-ferrous metal ore mine in the Bensberg ore district in Bergisch Gladbach in the Moitzfeld district . The Felix mine field extended in the vicinity of Obereschbach.
history
For the meaningless Felix mine there is an award plan from July 1853, the background of which is not known. The authorization file with the District President Arnsberg, Department of Mining and Energy (formerly Oberbergamt ) begins with an initial request for encouragement for the Felix auf Kupfer mine dated March 9, 1861. The last request was on December 15, 1865 from the forester Carl Heinrich Bewersdorf from Villenhaus submitted to Hermülheim. He was given ownership of the Felix copper mine with a deed of May 26, 1866.
Operation and facilities
There is no information about the operating time, flow rates, etc. A note in the authorization file states that the Bewersdorf heirs wanted to sell the Felix mine in 1892. The two larger mining operations in the immediate vicinity, Grube Weiß and Grube Lüderich , were obviously not interested in the purchase.
