The Neeb mine is a former lignite mine in the Bensberg ore district in Bergisch Gladbach . The site belongs to the Gronau district .
history
Each one-third applied Franz Hagen, Carl August Koch and Heinrich Neeb on April 5, 1849 presumption of brown coal for the mining claim Neeb. This was confirmed to them with a courtesy certificate dated November 5, 1849. After the field inspection on February 20, 1850, on November 13, 1858, they received the award of the mine field "in dem Schlüchtern" as a lignite warehouse. This was followed by deadlines that were approved for an indefinite period from December 2, 1862.

The brown coal seam drilled had a thickness of about twelve meters with a cover of about eight meters, which consisted of yellow sand, quicksand, gravel, Latvians and pebbles . It can be assumed that lignite was not extracted.
