The pyrolusite mine field was a mine field near Waldgirmes (municipality of Lahnau ) in the Lahn-Dill district . The pit field was between Waldgirmes and Bieber in a wooded area south of Hof Haina
history
The 243,248 Quadradlachter (800,000 m²) large pit box was after a presumption awarded by September 6, 1856 the Obersteiger Christian Pfeiffer to Wetzlar on 21 May 1870 manganese ore.
From 1910 it became part of the Morgenstern Consolidated Mine.
A dismantling between 1870 and 1910 is not known.
