Grupo de Diarios America
Grupo de Diarios América (GDA) (Spanish for group of American newspapers ) refers to a grouping of television channels , radios , digital products , daily newspapers and publishers , cable and Internet services in Latin America . GDA was founded in 1991 by El Comercio , La Nación and El Mercurio and comprises around 40 media. More than 5,500 journalists in the region and correspondents in over 25 countries work for the GDA newspapers. Five million people read the group's newspapers every day and 10 million on Sundays.
The group
The aim of the group is to offer a central point of contact for advertisers, for the exchange of information and editorials, as well as to watch over journalistic freedom and independence. Furthermore, leadership and credibility with the readership should be preserved.
