Karlsruhe group 66/140
As a group from Karlsruhe 66/140 , a group of Apulian vase painters from the third quarter of the 4th century BC. Chr. Designated.
The group from Karlsruhe 66/140 received its emergency name due to a fish plate assigned to it with the inventory number 66/140 in the Badisches Landesmuseum in Karlsruhe . The Dareios underworld workshop to which they are assigned is considered to be the manufactory that produced the highest quality work of red-figure Apulian vases of the corresponding time. The group from Karlsruhe 66/140 primarily painted fish plates, nine of which are in a closed grave find in the Berlin Collection of Antiquities . The most important artist was a painter of the same name , who was possibly the only artist in the group.
