Grzędzice

Grzędzice (German Seefeld ) is a village in the municipality of Stargard ( Stargard in Pomerania ) in the Polish West Pomeranian Voivodeship .

Geographical location

Grzędzice is located in Western Pomerania , about six kilometers northwest of the center of Stargard and 27 kilometers east of the city of Szczecin .

The village was formerly owned by the City of Stargard. During the Thirty Years' War numerous farm buildings in Seefeld were destroyed by wild hordes of the imperial and Swedish war people. Around 1780 there was a Vorwerk, a preacher, a clerk, 17 farmers, eleven in Seefeld Kossäten , a Büdnerhaus , an inn, where a full-Bauer lived, a blacksmith and taking also in consideration of the memory 59 fireplaces. From the year 1824 the regulation of the manorial and rural conditions and the community division were initiated in Seefeld: the final regulation was delayed for years. Before the middle of the 19th century, Seefeld had 17 farms, 14 cottages , an inn, a smithy and two brickworks on the Feldmark on the border with Stargard.

Around 1930, the district of Seefeld had an area of ​​12.1 km²; There were seven places of residence in the municipality, on which there were a total of 105 houses:

In 1925 there were 614 inhabitants in the Seefeld community, who were distributed over 132 households.

Until 1945 Seefeld belonged to the Saatzig district in the Pomerania province .

Towards the end of the Second World War , Seefeld was occupied by the Soviet Army in early March 1945 . After the end of the war, the village was placed under Polish administration. Seefeld was renamed Grzędzice . The German population was expelled in the period that followed .

religion

The majority of the population present in Seefeld before 1945 belonged to the Protestant denomination. In 1925, there were three Catholics and eleven people who did not give any information about their creed among the residents of the village community.
