Grzegorz Jaroszewski

Grzegorz Jaroszewski (born February 12, 1955 in Żyrardów ) is a former Polish cyclist and national champion in cycling .

Athletic career

Jaroszewski was a specialist in cyclo-cross racing . He started out as a track cyclist and was able to win several titles at the Polish Youth Spartakiad in his youth. In 1976 he won his first national cyclo-cross title. He won other championships in 1977, 1979–1982, 1984–1987. He was runner-up twice.

In 1976 he started for the first time at the UCI World Championships (20th place). In 1980 he won the bronze medal in Fritz Saladin's victory . In 1981 he was just barely beaten, second behind Miloš Fišera .
