Place name interpretation

In the first Bavarian recording created between 1808 and 1864, the field name "In Gstötten" is registered; the later settlement was certainly named after this corridor.

history

The Einöde Höll (e) is officially mentioned for the first time in 1867 as a district of the Geroldsee municipality. 6 people lived there at that time. Ecclesiastically the property belonged to the parish of Velburg in the diocese of Eichstätt ; since it is not yet listed in Popp's register of the diocese of 1836, it is likely to have been written between 1836 and 1867. It was a rural business; During the cattle count in Bavaria in 1873, of the 7 residents counted in 1871, 8 cattle were kept among large cattle. According to other official registers, the only residential building in the wilderness had 7 residents in 1900, 8 in 1925 and 7 in 1950.

In the course of the formation of a military training area for US and NATO troops, the municipality of Geroldsee was evacuated by October 1, 1951, with the exception of the district of Dantersdorf outside the military training area, and its residents were relocated; On January 25, 1952, the government of Upper Palatinate decided to place Dantersdorf on March 25, 1952, part of the Velburg community . On October 6, 1958, the Bavarian State Ministry of the Interior ordered the liquidation of the remainder of the Geroldsee municipality. With this, the wasteland of Gsettherthal also became extinct and the military training area became a desert.
