Guadalupe is a city in the northern part of the island of São Tomé , which in turn is part of the island state of São Tomé and Príncipe . With 1,734 (2001) inhabitants, it is the eighth largest city in the country and the capital of the Lobata district .
Guadalupe can be reached via a country road that circles the entire island. It is also connected to the cities of São Tomé , Neves and Trindade through this.
