Guadalupe Besso

Guadalupe Besso (* 1998 ) is an Argentine chess player .

Life

Guadalupe Besso learned the rules of chess at the age of seven. She has nine siblings. Her first chess teacher was her one year younger brother Javier. She plays chess for the Universidad de La Punta in the province of San Luis .

She won several Argentine youth championships, for example the U16 championship for women in 2014 in Embalse and the U20 championship (women) in Concordia in 2017 .

In 2015 she won the Pan-American U18 championship in blitz chess (female) in Cali .

As a result, the Pan American U14 Championship of young women in 2012 in the Peruvian Lima , she received the title of candidate master of women (WCM). By winning the South American U18 championship for women in 2015 in Santa Cruz de la Sierra , Bolivia , she received the title of International Women's Champion (WIM). Her highest Elo rating was 2105 in December 2018. She was in seventh place in the Argentine Elo ranking of women.
