Filippo Guastavillani
Filippo Guastavillani (born September 28, 1541 in Bologna , Italy , † August 17, 1587 in Rome ) was a cardinal of the Roman Catholic Church .
Guastavillani was by his uncle, Pope Gregory XIII. , created cardinal on July 5, 1574. Since July 14, 1574, cardinal deacon of the titular church of Santa Maria Nuova , he was cardinal deacon of the titular church of Santa Maria in Cosmedin on November 8, 1577 and of Sant'Angelo in Pescheria on December 19, 1583 . After he had become Camerlengo of the Church on May 14, 1584 , he held office when the Sedis vacancy occurred in 1585 and took part in the conclave from which Sixtus V emerged as the new pontiff . Cardinal Gustavillani received the titular church of Sant'Eustachio on January 7, 1587 .
