The Río Guatizalema is a river in the Spanish province of Huesca . It rises at 1370 m above sea level in the Sierra de Aineto in the Aragonese Pyrenees , flows through the Nocito valley and then the Embalse de Vadiello reservoir, which was built in 1971, runs through the town of La Almunia del Romeral , flows to Siétamo , Argavieso , Novales , Salillas and Huerto and flows into the Alcanadre at Venta de Ballerías at 310 m above sea level . The water flow is irregular.
The name of the river is derived from the Arabic Guadix alam (calm river).
