The (Río) Alcanadre is a river in the Spanish province of Huesca . It rises in the Sierra de Galardón of the Aragonese Pyrenees , flows through the Sierra de Guara and the Somontano and forms a wide valley from Pertusa before it flows south of Sariñena along the northern edge of the Sierra de Alcubierre and finally flows into the Cinca at Ballobar . In Roman and Arabic times, a large bridge spanned the Alcanadre at Pertusa. The river has its current name after this and other bridges, in Arabic Al-Qanatir .
