Ballobar ( Aragonese Vallobar ) is a municipality in the province of Huesca in the autonomous community of Aragon in Spain . It is located in the Comarca Bajo Cinca on the right bank of the Río Alcanadre .

history

In 1212 King Peter II of Aragon gave the place to the Santa María de Sigena monastery . In 1268 King James I of Aragon sold the country town and castle Ballobar to Countess Constanza von Urgel. Jacob II of Aragon left the place to William of Moncada in 1294.
