Laspaúles ( Catalan Laspaúls or Las Paüls; the name should be derived from the Latin Palus - swamp) is a Catalan-speaking municipality belonging to the Franja de Aragón in the province of Huesca in the autonomous community of Aragon in Spain . It is located in the Comarca Ribagorza in the upper valley of the river Isábena on the road N-260, which forms the transition from the valley of the Noguera Ribagorzana to the valley of the Río Ésera .
