Peralta de Calasanz ( Catalan Peralta i Calassanç ), also known as Peralta de la Sal , is a municipality in the province of Huesca in the autonomous community of Aragon in Spain . It is located in the north of the Comarca La Litera about 18 kilometers northeast of Monzón on the Río Sosa, a smaller tributary of the Cinca . The municipality called Petra Alta in the Middle Ages and formed in 1970 from the merger of Peralta de la Sal with Calasanz and Gabasa belongs to the Catalan-speaking Franja de Aragón .
