Poleñino ( Aragonese Polinyino ) is a municipality in the province of Huesca in the autonomous community of Aragon in Spain . It is located in the Comarca of Monegros on the Río Flumen .
history
The name of the community is traced back to a Roman landowner Paulinus. The place is first mentioned in 1134 on the occasion of the death of Alfonso I (Aragón) .

Attractions
- The single-nave parish church (Assumption of Mary), built in the Romanesque-Gothic transition style and enlarged in the 16th century in the Mudejar style , with side chapels and a strong tower, which suffered damage in the Spanish Civil War .
