Almudévar ( Aragonese Almudébar or Almudébal ) is a municipality in the province of Huesca in the autonomous community of Aragon in Spain . It is located in the comarca of Hoya de Huesca on the road from Huesca to Saragossa ( European route 7 and A-23 motorway - Autovía Mudéjar).

The place is mentioned for the first time in 1083 on the occasion of a donation by King Sancho I to the monastery of San Juan de la Peña .
