Sahún , Saún in the local dialect, Saünc in Catalan , is a municipality in the province of Huesca in the autonomous community of Aragon in Spain . It is located in the Comarca Ribagorza in the middle of the Pyrenees on the river Ésera in the valley of Benasque . Sahún borders the Parque Natural Posets-Maladeta . In Sahún, as in Benasque, a Catalan - Aragonese transition dialect known as Benasqués (or Patués) is spoken.

Sahún and Eriste are on the orographic right bank of the Ésera , which is dammed up by the Embalse de Linsoles , Eresué above Sesué on the left side of the valley. There is a hydroelectric power plant in Eriste.
