Rocamora Hermitage

Sopeira is a Catalan-speaking municipality belonging to Franja de Aragón in the province of Huesca in the autonomous community of Aragon in Spain . It is located in the pre-Pyrenees in the Comarca Ribagorza on the N-230 road, largely west of the Noguera Ribagorzana river, which is dammed up by the Embalse de Escales (Catalan Pantà de Escales) and Embalse de Sopeira reservoirs . The Romanesque monastery of Santa María de Alaón ( Santa Maria de Alaó in Catalan ) is located in Sopeira . In the east surrounds the place the Serra de Sant Gervàs (1352 m) and in the west of the Tallón d'Aulet (1486 m).
