The Gudower See is a lake in the municipality of Gudow in the Schleswig-Holstein district of the Duchy of Lauenburg , in the Lauenburg Lakes Nature Park . In the north it borders directly on the place Gudow; its south bank is wooded and surrounded by a closed reed belt. The lake is fed from the north by the Stichelsbach with water from two moor areas and drains into the Sarnekower See in the west via an approximately 400-meter-long ditch . Another tributary comes in the northeast from Lake Segrahn . The water flows over the Sarnekower See into the Hellbachtal and over the Möllner Seenplatte on to the Elbe-Lübeck Canal . The lake, characterized as dystrophic but eutrophic, is 70.7 hectares in size and up to 9.7 meters deep with a water volume of 3.4 million cubic meters. The banks are 3.6 kilometers long and the catchment area covers almost 60 square kilometers.
