Gudrun Münster (born January 30, 1928 in Uetersen ) is a Low German poet and writer .

Life

She was born in Uetersen and attended elementary school there until she switched to middle school in 1938 . From 1940 to 1946 she attended the Ludwig-Meyn-Gymnasium and later worked in agriculture. At the age of 15 she did her compulsory year in her own family because of her mother's illness and worked for a time in the private sector and for various authorities. She showed her talent for writing at an early age. The experiences in agriculture, their people, customs and traditions prompted them to write in both Low German and High German. The radio later became aware of them and broadcast their author readings and radio plays . Readings followed in Schleswig-Holstein , Hamburg and Lower Saxony . Today she lives as a freelance writer in Uetersen.

• 1970 Freudenthal Prize of the Freudenthal Society for Low German Seals in Lower Saxony
• 1972 Scholarship and Friedrich Hebbel Prize from the Friedrich Hebbel Foundation for "artistic creation in Low German culture"
