The Kernölamazonen are an Austrian cabaret duo from Vienna .
history
In June 2004 the kernel oil amazons were founded by Gudrun Nikodem-Eichenhardt, Ehrentraud Lebenbauer and the author Michaela Riedl-Schlosser. The first full-length stage program "LiederLiebesAbend" "was followed in 2005 by a play for children entitled:" When the sunflower and the pumpkin exchanged their friendship nuclei ". This title was later renamed:" Kerni Pumpkin Adventure ".
In the new line-up since May 2007 with Caroline Athanasiadis and Gudrun Nikodem-Eichenhardt, who both studied "Musical Entertainment Theater" at the Vienna Conservatory, a number of cabaret programs such as "Liederliebesreisen" (2007) and "Jagdlust" (2010) were created with which the duo has been touring Austria since then, and increasingly through Germany and Switzerland since 2011
The Kernölamazonen were on television in cabaret and comedy programs such as " Ladies Night " (WDR), " Vereinsheim Schwabing " (BR) and on ORF as part of the third season of the " Hyundai Cabaret Days " and the second season of " Cabaret in the Tower “To see. The two stood together on stage with artists such as Bülent Ceylan , Sascha Grammel , Viktor Gernot , Christoph Fälbl , Ingolf Lück , Maddin and Oliver Pocher .
The sixth cabaret program “StadtLand” premiered on October 6, 2015 at the Orpheum Vienna .
In May 2009, the kernel oil amazons took over the post of official ambassadors for MOMO, Vienna's mobile children's hospice, for one year, succeeding actress Kristina Sprenger .
Awards
After two second places in the cabaret competitions “Klagenfurter Herkules” (2010) and “Hirschwanger Wuchtel” (2011), the Kernölamazonen won the competition for the “Cabaret Talent 2012” at the Vienna Cabaret Festival in the arcade courtyard of the Vienna City Hall in summer 2012 . In 2016 they were awarded the Josef Krainer Home Prize.
