Gudrun Petersdorff

Gudrun Petersdorff (born August 17, 1955 in Ludwigslust ) is a German painter and graphic artist .

Life

After graduating from high school in 1974, Gudrun Petersdorff initially trained as a typesetter . From 1976 to 1981 she studied at the Hochschule für Grafik und Buchkunst in Leipzig with Hans Mayer-Foreyt and later in the painting class with Bernhard Heisig . She then worked as a freelancer in Leipzig . From 1989 to 1992 she was a master class student at the Berlin Academy of the Arts with Werner Stötzer and Dieter Golzsche . From 1999 to 2005 she was a lecturer at the University of Graphic and Book Art in Leipzig in the basic course painting / graphics. Study trips took her to Spain , Vietnam , France , Italy , Portugal , Hungary , Bulgaria , Tunisia , Guadeloupe , USA , Cambodia , Russia , Switzerland , Poland , Martinique , Morocco , Israel .

Gudrun Petersdorff has a child. She lives in Leipzig.

The often large-format and color-intensive works by Gudrun Petersdorff are based on sketches and drawings that she made not only in her surroundings, but also on her travels. Landscapes take up a large part of her work.

Since the beginning of the 1990s she has also been involved in ceramics . From 1999 to 2000 she worked as a freelancer at the Meissen porcelain factory .
