Gudrun Zentis (born November 2, 1953 in Neuss , born Gudrun Scholz ) is a German politician ( Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen ).

Life

Before she became a member of parliament, Zentis worked as a financial economist in the financial administration of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia . She completed her studies at the North Rhine-Westphalia University of Applied Sciences for Finance in Nordkirchen .

In 1998, Zentis joined the Alliance 90 / The Greens party . From November 1998 to January 2010 she was on the district board of the Green Düren , the first six years of which as treasurer and five years as chairwoman. She has been on the Nideggen City Council since 1999, and has been the leader of the Greens since 2002 . In 1999 Gudrun Zentis was also elected to the district council of the Düren district. She was deputy parliamentary group leader until the local elections in 2009, before taking over the parliamentary group chairmanship from Oliver Krischer ( MP since 2009 ). Since 2010, Zentis in the Regional Council of the Cologne regional government .

Zentis ran in the state elections on May 9, 2010 as a direct candidate in the state electoral district of Düren II - Euskirchen II . She was voted 25th on the reserve list. With place 25 on the reserve list, Zentis had a chance to move into the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia if the Greens reach around 11 to 13% (see Sainte-Laguë procedure ). In 2010 she did not make the leap into the state parliament. In the state elections in North Rhine-Westphalia in 2012 , Zentis was elected to the 16th state parliament in North Rhine-Westphalia above the 25th place on the list in the state constituency of Düren II - Euskirchen II. Her main political focus is educational policy, in particular continuing education. Here she is the spokesperson for further education policy for her parliamentary group and for mining safety. In the state elections in North Rhine-Westphalia in 2017 , she no longer achieved a place in the state parliament.

Zentis was active on the board of the parents' initiative Nideggen eV from 1987 to 1998. In her home town of Nideggen-Abenden, Zentis has been chairwoman of the parish council in Abenden since 2004 and has been on the board of the village community for several years.

Zentis has lived since 1967 in Nideggen - evenings , is married and has four children.
