Guerino Dominique Picchi
Guerino Dominique Picchi OFM (born August 26, 1915 in Ferentino , Italy ; † July 19, 1997 ) was Vicar Apostolic of the Apostolic Vicariate of Aleppo in Syria .
Life
Guerino Dominique Picchi joined the Order of the Franciscans (OFM) and was ordained priest in 1941 .
Pope John Paul II appointed him titular bishop of Sebaste in Palestine in 1980 and appointed him Vicar Apostolic of Aleppo in Syria. He received his episcopal ordination on January 6, 1982, the then Apostolic Pro-Nuncio in Syria, Angelo Pedroni ; Co - consecrators were the Armenian Catholic Archbishop of Aleppo Georges Layek and the Melkite Greek Catholic Archbishop of Aleppo Néophytos Edelby .
In 1992, John Paul II granted his age-related resignation.
