Angelo Pedroni

Angelo Pedroni (born April 22, 1914 in Maccagno , Varese Province , Italy , † June 24, 1992 ) was a Roman Catholic Archbishop and Vatican diplomat .

Life

Angelo Pedroni received on 13 March 1937, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On April 7, 1965, Pope Paul VI appointed him . the Titular Archbishop of Novica and ordered him to apostolic delegate in Thailand . The Archbishop of Milan , Giovanni Cardinal Colombo , donated him episcopal ordination on May 22nd of the same year ; Co-consecrators were the auxiliary bishop in Milan, Luigi Oldani , and the curia bishop Ernesto Camagni .

In 1967 Pedroni became an official in the Vatican State Secretariat . Paul VI appointed him on July 19, 1969. to the Apostolic Nuncio in Costa Rica . Angelo Pedroni became Apostolic Pro-Nuncio in Syria on March 15, 1975 . On July 6, 1983, Pope John Paul II appointed him Apostolic Nuncio in Belgium and Luxembourg as well as with the European Community .

On June 13, 1989, Pope John Paul II accepted Angelo Pedroni's resignation due to reasons of age.

Angelo Pedroni attended the fourth session of the Second Vatican Council .
