Igino Eugenio Cardinale

Igino Eugenio Cardinale (born October 14, 1916 in Fondi , Province of Latina , Italy ; † March 24, 1983 ) was a Roman Catholic Archbishop and Vatican diplomat .

Life

Igino Eugenio Cardinale received on 13 July 1941, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On October 4, 1963, Pope Paul VI appointed him . the Titular Archbishop of Nepte and ordered him to apostolic delegate in the United Kingdom . Paul VI donated him episcopal ordination on October 20 of the same year ; Co-consecrators were the secretary of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples , Archbishop Pietro Sigismondi , and Archbishop Sergio Pignedoli .

Paul VI appointed him on April 19, 1969. as Apostolic Nuncio in Belgium and on May 9 of the same year as Apostolic Nuncio in Luxembourg . Cardinale was also Apostolic Nuncio to the European Community on November 10, 1970 .

Igino Eugenio Cardinale attended the second and fourth sessions of the Second Vatican Council .
