Guido Bargellini
Guido Bargellini (* 1879 in Roccastrada , Province of Grosseto , † 1963 in Rome ) was an Italian chemist and university professor.
Guido Bargellini taught at the universities of Sassari (1920), Siena (1921 to 1924) and Rome (1924 to 1950). His field of work was natural product chemistry , especially flavonoid dyes , coumarins and santonin . He was accepted into the Accademia Nazionale dei Lincei in 1946 . The Bargellini reaction he discovered is named after him .
