Guido Fluri
Guido Fluri (born July 10, 1966 in Olten ) is a Swiss entrepreneur . In April 2014 , he initiated the popular initiative «Reparation for contract children and victims of compulsory welfare measures».
Live and act
Guido Fluri spent his childhood in the home with foster families and his grandparents. He gained his fortune through real estate transactions and investments. At the age of 40, the father of three fell ill with a brain tumor. His life story has shaped his humanitarian and political work. In 2019, Guido Fluri was one of the ten most sought-after Swiss personalities in the Google ranking in Switzerland.

In 2010 Guido Fluri started a project to process the Swiss children's homes. In 2014, Fluri launched a popular initiative on the subject of homes and contract children, the “ reparation initiative ”.
The initiative is also attracting international attention. The Swiss magazine Der Beobachter officially supports the initiative as a media partner. In September 2016, the Council of States almost unanimously adopted the counter-proposal to the reparation initiative. Due to his strong commitment in recent years, especially when it comes to compulsory welfare measures, Fluri is considered a figure of political integration.
The Pope also received the Swiss victims of abuse. In 2019, Guido Fluri was received by Pope Francis for a private audience to discuss abuses in the Catholic Church in Switzerland. The Pope officially apologized to the abuse victims. The perpetrators are to be brought to secular courts. For the first time, the Pope spoke out on this subject with such clarity.
Guido Fluri is a member of the parliamentary group for compulsory welfare measures (PGFZM).
Foundation, endowment
In addition to his entrepreneurial activity, Guido Fluri is involved with the foundation in the fields of brain tumors, violence against children and schizophrenia.
In 2007 Guido Fluri initiated the Acoustic Neuroma Interest Group (IGAN) for people who are affected by the rare acoustic neuroma brain tumor or who are involved in research and treatment of this brain tumor.
He is the founder of the first national memorial for home and contract children in Mümliswil , where he also spent some time himself. The home was acquired for this purpose by the Guido Fluri Foundation .
In 2017, Guido Fluri, who had been placed outside the home as a child, opened a counseling center for those affected by the KESB (child and adult protection authority), the Kescha (contact point for child and adult protection), to help parents deal with the authority. In its first year of existence, the Kescha advised around 1,100 people who were affected by a measure by the KESB.
In 2017 Guido Fluri received the Cham "Champion" award in the area of "Social Affairs" for his commitment to the Guido Fluri Foundation.
In the course of the Corona crisis, the Guido Fluri Foundation launched a medical emergency aid project in cooperation with the Swiss Evangelical Church in March 2020.

Guido Fluri holds various companies and investments through GF Group Holding AG. Including the trademark rights of the Miss Switzerland organization since 2012 , which he sold on February 16, 2017. According to the media, he has assets of several hundred million Swiss francs. In 2020, Fluri sold the majority of its properties to Swiss Life for 360 million Swiss francs.
