Career

Guido Koltermann learned to play football at the Bocholt suburb DJK Lowick . In his youth, he first changed positions - from storm to goal - and then the club, and played as a B youth at Bayer 04 Leverkusen for a year . As an A-youth he made the leap into the upper division squad of 1. FC Bocholt , with whom he rose to the regional league in 1994 . In 1998 Guido Koltermann moved to VfL Wolfsburg , where he couldn't get past goalkeeper Claus Reitmaier . After two years in the amateur team of VfL, Bundesliga club SpVgg Unterhaching signed him , for which he completed four appearances in the 2nd Bundesliga after relegation. In 2002 he moved to the Regionalliga Süd for SV Wehen and played a total of 76 league games in three seasons. In 2005 Guido Koltermann returned to 1. FC Bocholt in the Oberliga Nordrhein. After the Bocholter's relegation, he moved to the national league club VfL Rhede in summer 2008 , where he played until 2010 and then moved to the support team as a goalkeeping coach.
