The Gum Air NV is a private airline company in Suriname . The home base of their small fleet is the Zorg en Hoop airfield in Paramaribo . The airline's administration is also located here on Doekhieweg, in the Zorg en Hoop district of the same name.

On September 16, 1971, the Gummels brothers received the permit for operational aviation in Suriname. It was the second national airline after Surinam Airways to operate charter flights inland. Today Gum Air also flies to international destinations in Brazil , French Guiana , Guyana , Venezuela and various islands in the Lesser Antilles .
