Gundolf Gries

Gundolf Gries (born June 2, 1943 in Wanfried ) is a German politician ( CDU ).

Gries attended elementary and middle school in Mühlhausen and passed his Abitur at evening high school. After an apprenticeship as an industrial clerk and a degree in finance, he did a postgraduate degree in organization and data processing from 1966 to 1971. Gries worked as a graduate economist and until 1990 as head of the Mühlhausen branch of the central salary office of the Erfurt district .

Gries joined the GDR CDU in 1961 , where he was a member of the district executive from 1968 and again in 1990 and was district chairman from 1987 to 1990. In 1990 he was elected to the last people 's chamber in the GDR, after which he belonged to the Bundestag for three months.
