Gunnar Theilmann Åbel

Gunnar Theilmann Åbel (also: Aabel; born February 6, 1903 in Copenhagen , † 1961 ) was a Danish organist and cantor .

Life

Gunnar Theilmann Åbel studied at Det Kongelige Blind Institute in Copenhagen, where he later taught. On June 6, 1928 he passed the organ exam at the Det Kongelige Danske Conservatory of Music . From April 1929 until his death in 1961 he was organist at the Rigshospitalets Kirke in Copenhagen. In 1936 he lived at 33 Livjægergade in Copenhagen.

Danmarks blind people

He was a member of the board of directors of Danmarks Blinde, a Danish charity which, among other things, published magazines and books in Braille .
