Nils Gunnar Ludvig Weman (born February 25, 1932 in Uppsala ) is a Swedish Lutheran clergyman and retired Archbishop of Uppsala .

Weman grew up in Uppsala, where his father Henry Weman worked as the cathedral organist . After the ordination he worked as a pastor in Sigtuna , Skog ( Söderhamn parish ) and Uppsala as well as in the mission department of the Church of Sweden. From 1964 to 1984 he was pastor again in Sigtuna. After a brief activity in the department for worship and evangelism, he was appointed bishop in the Luleå diocese in 1986. In 1993 he became Archbishop of Uppsala and served as the highest dignitary of the Church of Sweden until his retirement in 1997 . He used his retirement to write a dissertation on the relationship between medieval church space and contemporary worship, with which he was awarded a Dr. theol. received his doctorate.
