Guo Yihan (born March 9, 1995 in Changchun ) is a Chinese short tracker .

Career

Yihan first appeared internationally in February 2012 at the Junior World Championships in Melbourne . There she won the silver medal with the relay. Two years later, she won the bronze medal with the relay at the 2014 Junior World Championships in Erzurum . She made her debut in the Short Track World Cup at the beginning of the 2014/15 season in Salt Lake City . There she achieved 18th place over 1500 m and ninth place over 1000 m. At the following World Cup in Montreal , she came on the podium for the first time in the World Cup with third place over 1000 m. In the 2015/16 season she achieved five top ten placements in the World Cup, including second place over 1500 m in Dordrecht . At the season highlight of the 2016 World Championships in Seoul , she won the silver medal over 3000 m. In addition, she finished 14th over 500 m, ninth place over 1000 m, sixth place in the all-around and fourth place over 1500 m. In the 2016/17 season she finished in the top ten six times in the World Cup singles, including second place in the 1000 m World Cup in Gangneung and thus reached seventh place in the 1000 m World Cup. In February 2017 she won the bronze medal in the 1500 m and the silver medal with the relay at the Winter Asian Games in Sapporo . At the 2017 World Championships in Rotterdam , she won the gold medal with the relay. In the individual races she took 12th place in the all-around competition, ninth place over 500 m and eighth place over 1000 m and 1500 m. In November 2017 she finished second with the relay at the World Cup in Shanghai . At the 2018 World Championships in Montreal, she finished 27th in the all-around competition. At the Four Continents Championships in Montreal in 2020 , she won the bronze medal with the relay.
