The Qingdao Guoxin Stadium or Qingdao Sports Center Stadium ( Chinese 青岛国信体育场 ) is a football stadium with athletics track in the Chinese port city of Qingdao , province of Shandong in the east of the country. It offers 45,000 covered seats for the spectators and is mainly the venue for football matches. The facility is the home ground of the Qingdao Huanghai football club .

history

The stadium was funded by the Qingdao Yizhong Tobacco Group and opened in August 1999 as the Yizhong Sports Center Stadium ( Chinese 颐中 体育 中心 体育场 ). In 2006 it was closed due to security deficiencies. The Qingdao Conson Development Group took over the facility in July 2008 and changed the name to Qingdao Guoxin Stadiom. The sports facility was renovated and reopened in 2012.
