Solo artist

Gustav's debut took place on December 12, 1998 in the Freiburg rock club Fri-Son. With his twenty-piece amateur orchestra "Das Kummerorchester" he presented 18 songs that he composed, written and orchestrated himself. Various appearances throughout Switzerland followed. Two years later, the multi-instrumentalist from Freiburg released his album “Gegen Süd - Vers le sud”. For the first time, Gustav sang French and German songs. Bilingualism became a trademark. His passionate live performances gradually brought him to the big stages in Switzerland ( Paléo , Gurtenfestival , OpenAir St. Gallen , Montreux Jazz Festival , Open Air Gampel ). In 2010 the album "666" and the entire back catalog were published by the major label Universal Music Group - Switzerland . In the same year Gustav won the TV show “Kampf der Chöre” (SRF) . The following double album “Gustav - Trésors & Trouvailles” hit number 2 on the Swiss charts . In 2012 Gustav wrote the official song “100,000 gouttes d'eau” for the fundraising campaign Every Rappen Counts on Swiss radio and television. Over 7 million Swiss francs were raised for people without clean drinking water. Gustav wrote the official EM song "Tous Ensemble" for Swiss television for the 2016 European Football Championship in Paris. Together with the French-speaking actors Geneviève Pasquier, Alain Guerry and the German-speaking actor Niklaus Talman, he designed the bilingual scenic reading "Jean Tinguely pris au mot / Jean Tinguely word-word" in 2016. Gustav has been attending Swiss schools since 2012 and presenting his “Gustav à l'école” program. During this music lesson the children get to know 20 instruments in a humorous way and they sing, make music and dance to Gustav's songs. At the same time, they learn a variety of French terms.
