Gustav Adolf Erich Bogeng

Gustav Adolf Erich Bogeng (born December 30, 1881 in Tilsit , † April 16, 1960 in Bad Harzburg ) was a German lawyer and book collector .

Life

As the son of a businessman, Bogeng attended grammar school in Tilsit. He spoke numerous languages. He studied law in Berlin from 1902 to 1906 and was awarded a Dr. jur. PhD. GAE Bogeng wrote numerous treatises on the subject of bibliophilia , in particular he researched the history of book covers . Bogeng was involved in the International Exhibition for Book Trade and Graphics ( Bugra ) in Leipzig in 1914 .
