Gustav Adolf Sellin (born February 17, 1917 , † April 15, 1978 ) was a Swedish Nordic skier . He won the silver medal in Nordic combined at the Nordic World Ski Championships in 1939 .

Career

Sellin started at the Nordic World Ski Championships in Lahti in 1938 in combination, ski jumping and cross-country skiing . Over 18 km classic he could only line up in 124th place. In the ski jumping competition, he finished 36th with 25.9 points behind the winner Asbjørn Ruud . He did best in the combined competition, where he reached eleventh place.

A year later Sellin was again part of the squad for the Nordic World Ski Championships in 1939 in Zakopane . In the cross-country skiing competition over 18 km he was able to improve significantly and ranked 28th. In the Nordic combined he was only outdone by Gustav Berauer and won the silver medal.
