Gustav Albert Lange (born November 21, 1846 , † June 1, 1918 in Aue ) was a German entrepreneur , secret councilor and politician .

Life

Gustav Albert Lange was married to his sister Clara from 1874. Domkowicz was co-owner of his father Adolph Lange's company . In 1885 he became head of the company Sächsische Kupfer- und Messingwerke FA Lange in Kupferhammer-Grünthal near Olbernhau and that of Dr. Geitner's Argentanfabrik FA Lange in Auerhammer . After the death of his father in 1898, he took over the factories jointly with his sister Clara. With the factories he became the most important manufacturer of non-ferrous metals in Saxony. By 1908, 1,000 people were employed in the Auerhammer factory . They made nickel silver , brass , tombac , aurane and bronze , among other things . At the same time, 650 employees at the Grünthal plant were producing copper, brass, tombac and bronze and processing them into wires, plates and sheets. At another location in Schweinitzmühle , a workforce of 350 employees produced sheet metal from nickel silver, brass, bronze and copper for use in Austria .

In 1917 Gustav Albert Lange was taken over by the Saxon King Friedrich August III. appointed as a manor owner by royal appointment in the first chamber of the Saxon state parliament , of which he belonged until his death in June 1918. Gustav Albert Lange is buried in the family crypt in the municipal cemetery in Aue.
