Gustav Assmann (lawyer)

Gustav Assmann (born June 8, 1887 in Berlin , † after 1950 ) was a German lawyer . He was a lawyer , notary and managing director of the Reich Theater Chamber founded on August 1, 1933 .

Life

He was the son of the sergeants of the Berlin Palace Company, Gustav Assmann, and grew up in Berlin at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. After attending grammar school, he studied law from 1905 to 1909 at the University of Berlin. In 1910 he was a trainee and in 1912 he graduated as Dr. jur. The topic of his dissertation was The Civil Law Consequences of Failure to Announce Wills . From 1915 to 1918 he took an active part in the First World War and was a member of various field artillery companies.

From 1920 Gustav Assmann worked as a resident lawyer and from 1927 also as a notary in Berlin.

In December 1933 he was appointed President of the Reich Theater Chamber. Assmann worked for the Reich Ministry for Public Enlightenment and Propaganda until at least 1935. In 1935 he was replaced as managing director by Alfred Frauenfeld after two years of service. During this time Gustav Assmann was involved in the decisions on the integration of the associations and associations belonging to the field of activity of the Reich Chamber of Culture and in the active expert support of the Reich Ministry for Public Enlightenment and Propaganda in handling applications for confirmation from artistic directors and in the approval of theater performances of all kinds involved.

He was a member of the Association of National Socialist German Jurists (BNSDJ) and the Academy for German Law .

After the Second World War he can be verified as a notary in Rangsdorf until 1950 .
